that's kinda trick, good place for the rifles or beer, not at the same time of course! Then again, I'm one of those camper shell types.

I like it myself, Im pretty happy with it. it doesnt squeak and rattle like the old one and the light bar doesnt slap the back of the cab. The downside? I lost 200 pounds of rotten wood traction aid. Its about 90-95% done in the pic, I need to put my spare tire mount back on this bed, finish painting it, and bolt the storage box back down. and a couple of other little things like reconnect the air line to the horns...

Ranger flatbed conversion

Hey, if you still have that CAD drawing available, I'd like to get them. I am doing the flatbed on a '93 supercab.

Thanks!

Rick

Yup, still have it. Shoot me a PM with your email address.

was thinkin about doing that to my 88'. really only use it for farm and hunting, and messin around, about how much did it cost to make th bed?

I think it was around $3-400 and that includes stuff like deck stain, wire for the welder, etc...and I had a ton of materials left over (had to buy all the steel in 20ft lengths)

It is working out pretty good so far, but definitely limits flex.

At the Detroit Auto Show, Dodge had compartments on the bed sides. The top of the side opened up to a compartment, looking down into it. It was pretty cool. Ill see if I can find a pic.

It also really cuts down on interior bedspace, they pretty much fill in everything from the wheelwell out. I have a toolbox locked to one of my tie downs in my F-150 to keep jumper cables and ratchet straps in, if I need the room I just take it out.

I have a flatbed frame. It is 7' long and 6' wide. Includes a class 3 hitch receiver, taillights and a very thick and strong tube bumper. I was told it was made for a longbed Ranger, it will fit on my supercab, but I have to put some tabs on one crossbar to mount it to the frame and move another crossbar, or add one. It includes a headache rack.

Right after I bought it, I found a replacement bed so am considering selling the flatbed frame. Just contact me if you might be interested. I'm in Florida.

Copy of the plans, please

I'm starting a project on an 03 ranger to make it a flatbed, I'd love to have a copy of your plans. My email is LChappelear@gmail.com. Looks like yours turned out great. Thanks!
