If youre looking for them, contact Shawn over on pirate4x4, good to deal with. Nothing wrong with the ruffstuff cover, just thought this was a hell of a lot beefier for the $.

Get your jack out to hoist that thing up there! Just messin, that's a nice diff cover!

Man.. I'd be tempted to see if it was bullet proof. Take my 30-30 and shoot at it in a range lol

HAHA...honestly I think I would too. 1/2 of steel over top 1/4 is the thickest part right? I think 3/4 of steel could stop a 30-30...could be wrong tho haha

you guys are nuts. Anyways got it all prepped and painted today, and got longer diff cover bolts. OH!!!! just in case any of you all need longer diff cover bolts, the bolts are 5/16 coarse thread.

YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!

Haha, 30-06 would do the trick. Also what color did you end up painting it?

Yep, that diff is bullet proof. Any cal from .45 and lower, rifle or pistol, will not make it through. Can't vouch for Armor Periecing or steel rounds thou. A 460 or 500 might make a dent. A .50 BMG in the right bullet will make it through.

FYI, a 30-06 in a FMJ or Soft Tip will make it through a 20oz CO2 tank dead on. But at the very sides, will only puncture and not make it through.

lol. I ended up painting it silver...to match my front skid ;) I took it with me when i went to get longer bolts for the diff cover....the guy at the counter of the bolt store thought it was off a tank or something.

with that, it'd make things easier to get a stud for two of the top bolt holes for the cover...
