New Car

Got a message from her earlier. It was a blowout. Didn't hit anything, tire just apparently couldn't take highway speeds. I give kudos for getting it off the road and not slamming it into the ditch or hitting another driver.

although looks like she was heading for the ditch you can see where she was holding the brakes when she hit the grass but over on RF she was tellin everyone how she was inspecting if from bumper to bumper i guess she didn't check the tires huh?

Tires don't always show visible signs of separation.

I was following her, and we were going about 70mph, she was in the middle lane, tire blew, and she went straight the to right and into the grass. luckily there was no one next to her, including me.

the tire was a dayton daytona sr, not the best tire in the world and it was old.

Bumper could bend out, and fender's are not that expensive. You got lucky, fix the car and be glad for it. Kudos for doing the smart thing and pulling off the road instead of freaking out and swerving all over like some of the people I've seen.

look at the alarm, the aftermarket amp wire going in and out of the fuse box, but i dont think you were looking for a wires just a chance to show off you hondog.

Since when is an alarm wire excess aftermarket wiring?:icon_confused:

If you don't want to supply power to your alarm you go right ahead buddy.:thefinger:

the alarm on the hondog is aftermarket they dont mount the speaker there from the factory they hide it. or atleast they were smart enough to hide it on my mothers last accord.

{i also dont trust anything installed by a previous owner} most of the time its a hack job

Maybe it didn't come with an alarm?

Why are you being so anal about an aftermarket alarm? I'm going to put one in my next vehicle if it doesn't have one. The Ranger has one, it just doesn't work.

so why are you fighting me on a alarm then.... your dont even work. congrats. and as jimmah has stated its just a hondog.... and as for a alarm in a car unless its a CHIP key with a imobilizer they will still steal your shit.

Just because it's a Honda doesn't mean the owner shouldn't care if it get's stolen.

And why doesn't mine work? No clue. The PO put it in, I don't care enough to fix it. Trucks not in the city anymore, the chances of it getting stolen are cut by a large amount.

Koda, it's just typical TRS "everything import sucks" babble. Chill man.
