:icon_confused:Need advice on replacing a camshaft synchronizer or not. 1999 3.0 flex fuel. I've got a P1309 code and a coolant temp sensor code P0117 I replaced the Cam position sensor...reset the codes and got the same two again. On the P1309 code I'm thinking of just replacing the Synchronizer. Is there something else I should check first? Also is the Dorman part junk? I heard they might be ...but see no posts showing that to be true. Has anyone cleared this code by replacing their Synchronizer? I have no chirps..but do have to crank engine a few times when cold to get it to start...and can't touch the gas till it idles on it's own....also, on the coolant P0117 code...I have replaced the two-wire coolant temp sensor. There is also a one-wire sensor...could that one be the culprit?
