I just got done putting a set of 100w aircraft landing lights on my truck for driving lights. :D I've never had really bright lights before, and these made my brights look like I was just holding a flashlight out the window. For less than $70 (including wiring that can handle several more lights) I've nearly tripled my light output.

Still in the shop

My camera doesn't like to take night shots, so they're not the greatest.

I need to get some pics of the difference from inside the truck now. I also have pics of the install that I'll probably put up later.

looks good. gotta love the black flairsides :icon_thumby:

i really hope you dont plan on driving around town with those on...

Wow those would be nice for when you get cut off!

They're a 4509 bulb, I picked mine up at napa. I should be getting a "how to" type thread up on them in the next few days.

I already don't run brights within about double the distance allowed, and I don't plan to run these if I can see another car at all.

I never thought about that, and it was staring me right in the face. Im gonna have to steal some form school off a King Air.

You do that and I'll be forced to report you to Mr. Lane, Mr. Daub, Shane, Chief, or Tal.

Really, you can use any par36 type bulb, they fit right in the housings. Just pick whatever wattage/pattern you like best for what you're doing. Complete install is coming...

It was a joke dude, who is this?

LOL

I know it was a joke, I just saw a chance to mess with your mind a little.

My name is Josh Turk. When you hear your instructors talk about the folks that went through the program, but then get hired on at the base and never get their license, I'm one of them. I graduated back in 06. In fact I'm taking night classes when I can to get my associates degree. One student to another take the license exam as soon as you are able, don't wait.
