I was wonder whats out there? The headers I have are all rusted but work fine. I was thinking of either just ordering new stock headers of ebay, and then going to a shop and having them custom weld a cat back system for a dual exhaust rear exit setup. not sure how I want it coming out the back or not, would be nice if anyone has pics of theres to show me so i can get some ideas. I had in mind from header back 2 1/4" to single inlet/ double outlet connector with 2" pipes going to 2" muffler. I dont want something loud, just something with a nice little deep growl to it.

thanks for the tips

If you want good sound for your 3.0 L, get a 2.5 inch cat back headpipe that runs into a single 2.5 inch inlet / dual 2 1/4 inch outlets Orginal Flowmaster 40 series muffler. From there run 2 1/4 inch piping all the way to the back, then, if u wanted too, you culd put 3 inch chrome tips on it, but it really doesn't make a difference in sound, the tips are just for looks. I personally like this set-up. Its sounds really good at idle, and it doesn't sound half bad when going highway speeds. Im pretty sure you'll like this set-up, but theres many other options out there, be sure to look up youtube videos on rangers with exhaust systems, it does hlp out a little bit when tryin to figuire out what u want ur system to sound like. Good Luck man!:icon_thumby:

O yea, and for the pipe coming out the back, either have em come straight out the back, or you can have them at a 45 degree angle out, those are the best sounding. theres also the ones that go out right behind the rear wheel at a 90 degree angle, but keep in mind that you want as little piping turns and angles as possible to get the ultimate performance out of your exhaust system.
