truck is a 89 ranger. how do i bypass the neutral safety switch? truck will not start by the key but i can jump the starter solenoid and it starts. im having problems with the clutch master cylinder and i have been removing it like 3 or 4 times and i think something came lose and thats why it will not start by the key

there should be a switch that the clutch pedal pushes against, bypass the switch and it should start without pushing the clutch in. i hope that helped. my guess is connect the two wires to the switch.

it dosent have a switch, has a plug in to the master cylinder with a black, white, green, and 2 pink wires. think its the two pink wires that i wire together but not sure and i searched and didnt find anything that talked about the same color wires i have

I had trouble with my starter after I put a new clutch in. I could jump the terminals on the solinoid and it would start, but not with the key. Turned out for what ever reason the starter wasnt grounding, so I just put a wire from a starter bolt to the frame and never had a problem again. I think the never seize I put on the bolts prevented the sarter from grounding (sounds stupid but it was the only reasonable explanation I could think of)

i did not remove the clutch, just the clutch master cylinder and i just wired up a push button to the solenoid and it starts everytime
