Just curious to see how many network engineers we have on here? I am talking about the is what you do for a living not as a hobby.

I just started a job as a wireless network engineer. :yahoo:

I design and build large wireless networks for correctional facilities.

I used to do that stuff, then I got sick of the computers talking back without being asked. I have to ask for the car's opinion before it can give me lip.

Oh, and subnets, I hate subnets.

I took courses for networks and got my network admin certification...but didn't write the exams for the ICND certification...or go any steps beyond that...

Started too late...but I managed to get around the subnets...I just put on a subnet mask and they didn't recognize me as a stranger...sorta snuck into their group that way.

As much as I like troubleshooting and designing networks or even systems...unless I'm using someone elses' money it's just too expensive for a small player like me...

2 years of training, only 2 weeks of work.. Then I decided it wasn't worth the stress and driving 60 miles each way every day.

I work in the network group at the university hospital. It's actually a fun & challenging job. Close to home, seldom any OT or on-call, and they let me work 4 10's so I can have a 3 day weekend. :yahoo:

So we had our annual State Of The Company conf call today. We have a back log of 70k tablets to deploy in 2016-17. Boom! Make that money. :yahoo:

Just graduated high school, and on Christmas day was accepted to PTI for network administration and management.

The reason for being on this forum is because I dabbled into cars after beginning to bore the usual computer stuff. Computers are my passion, and cars is an ever growing hobby of mine

Definitely consider myself a multipotentialist.
