Hi everyone,
I have an annoying issue with my DS window (manual crank). Every time I roll it down or up, the last 4" or so (at the top) causes a scraping high pitch sound. I've had the panel off rolling it up and down, but I can't figure out what is causing it and I don't want to start slathering lubricants all over it. It's almost as of the noise is resonating from the glass and that is making it hard for me to zero in on where it is coming from. There are no scratches on the glass (not yet anyway) to give me an indicators.
Can you guys tell me which pieces you would think are worth replacing to get this all back in order? The Ford manual isn't showing me an exploded view of the Ranger door with the part numbers, only the Aerostar. I'm looking at the LM Truck stuff and it looks correct.
Would you think that parts 7&8 would likely solve this? Or is there another known troublemaker that makes this squealing/scraping sound (it almost sounds like a "high ~D" note on a trumpet).
