need to know what tranny i have, fluid capacity

1992 ford ranger 4x4 2.9l. regular model no stx/xlt

i think i have the mazda tranny but im not sure. how can i find out?
 
use 5 quarts the 80-90

well i feel retarded i looked at that whole page and missed that. thanks alot guys!

just wondering, how come the m50d uses ATF?
 
tighter internal tolerances. Gear oil can't get into all the little places in the M5OD.
 
just the transfer box that uses ATF, gearboxes FM uses a gear oil 80-90. just a matter of properly lubricate the inner bearing. I suspect also that the wear will also be less
