hi everyone how much do u think a 1992 2x4 xtra cab ranger is worth? i know the girl who drove it and found out today that she rolled it. from what i heard it was tore up prety bad. the right side is flat the roof is bent up and the hood is crushed but it has a 2.9 auto in it. i was thinking that if i could get it for $100 or so i could part it out. what do you guys think?

What do you mean how much is it worth? How much it is worth in decent condition, and how much it is worth in a smashed up condition will be very different.

being its wrecked for all practical purposes its worth scrap $50-75 IMHO

Selling it in pieces will present you with a lot more money that selling it as a whole. What color is it?

100 would be fair, you can part out the pieces, then take the hulk to the scrap yard.

actually "as scrap" an vehicle is worth $0.06-$0.08/lb depending on local scrap rates.
So a rolled 2wd supercab that runs about 3600lbs is worth between $210 and $280 simply for it's weight of scrap metal.

I have a clapped out '88 2wd shortbox ranger that I'll be converting to cash as
soon as I get home because it weighs 2850 and my local scrap yard is paying $0.07/lb.

That'll pay my auto insurance quarterly...
