Hi everybody,

I'm looking for some information on my tranny. I Have a 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0L, Automatic 4 speed (So its the 4R44E).
There's a seal at the end of the transmission Where the driveshaft connect to the transmission, I can't find any pictures, diagram or exploded view of the 4R44E to find what's the name of that Seal. Some friend told me ' YOKE' but on parts website I can'T find anything

If someone have a picture OR knows what am talking about, it would help me a lot.

P.s. This seal is leaking a bit, that's why I want to change it
Thanks!

Try "Tailhousing seal"

Or "output shaft seal"

Quick search for me turned up this. If you go into an auto parts store and say you need a transmission seal, I'm sure they will know you're talking about this one. If they ask any further, just say you need the one that seals the driveshaft to the tranny. Then they'll know which one it is.

Rockauto search below:

SKF part # 13685
getimage.php

It's the same seal that pretty much all transmissions take in Rangers.
