My tires are too big to run on the smog machine. Does anyone know of how I can rent/borrow tires and/or wheels to run a smog check?

Many cars use the same bolt pattern as the ranger. If you have a friend or family member with one you might ne able to borrow a set for a day. From personal experience, dodge intrepid steel wheels fit perfectly on my 97. (Even fits over the locking hub) concorde, eagle vision, lhs, new yorker should also work as long as it is a steel wheel and not a n alloy wheel. Olds 88/98, buick lesabre/park ave, pontiac bonneville steel wheels will also fit. jeep wrangler is another one. Any car with 5 x 114.3mm or 5 x 4.5in should fit if it will go over the hub.

Dont forget jeep wranglers. Jeep cherokee stock wheels will NOT fit up front. They hit the calipers and wont let the wheel spin. (Ask me how i know lol)

Last I heard HCP 4x4 off of Hampden + Sheridan will borrow wheels for smog check for free. Ive got two fullsize stock ranger spares with perfect tread if you can find two others.

Oooh. Lol so if you know anyone with a 70s-96 F150, Dodge 1500, or Jeep CJ, you're good to go :D

Just called hcp4x4. They can do it for $100. Might be cheaper/easier than buying another set. Thanks for the heads up. When you get that '92 up and running we should go wheeling.

If you have an account on colorado4x4.org or RMFTC.com you should post in the wanted section, I would be willing to bet someone would help you out. I wouldnt give $100 to HCP just to borrow a set. Or try the pulland pay, I dont know what they charge but might be worth a try.

We will definately have to do some wheeling. Should have it done soon.

Got a set of steel rollers from the pnp they work like a charm. They cost half as much as hcp and I didn't have to drive all the way down to Englewood twice. One of the wheels looks bent but I only needed them on for the actual test.
