I previously had a 94 slt .went through that truck and spent way too much to end up putting her to pasture because of reliability.even after countless hours under over and upside down "fixing "that needy S.O.B She was definatly my learning project .
Now the new girl is 07 4.0l ,four wheel drive .it's a much nicer truck but I kinda took a beat buying it .It drove fine ,started fine all fine on the rest drive .of course.2 months late and I have a clunk in the front end and it doesn't seem to be hold a prime in the fuel pump
.if it sits for more then a few min it cranks and cranks .then if it does catch it sounds awful till it revs and that is the other issue .high idle killing me in fuel.im a landscaper.i work for myself pretty much by myself .side note remembered that the transmission feels really soft sometimes and going into overdrive it thuds pretty good..
I guess my question is .are these common issues with the 07?I'm stuck with it till I pay it off now so is there any things besides going through it like the 94 replacing every bolt on part..I don't even know what I need to ask .if these issues are common I'm going to fix it..if they aren't I'll have to figure something else out cause I can't lay under this thing 3 times a week till midnight .
Other than that Im never not buying a ranger unless it's an S10 to feed her ..any help is appreciated .this forum saved the day more than a few times and I'm sure I thanked whoever helped me but thank y'all again !!
