Recently, I found my '99 3.0L V6 2wd Ranger had an exhaust leak in the exhaust flange and I will have to replace the pipe between the flange and the muffler. How would the exhaust sound if i just cut out the muffler and gave the truck straight pipes coming out of the catalytic converter? Or, is there any other cheap ways to make the truck sound good? Any help is nice. Thanks.

The Dynomax Catback is a great value for the $$$. I have one on my 1999 Ranger 4x4 4.0. I think they are like $160~180 for the full Catback set up. They have a good sound to them and they are not a V8 wannabe dual setup.
