need some help

I’m not sure what kind of tires and rims I would like and I would like some help or suggestions. I want 17 inch rims in order to put the 5 inch rough country lift but I can’t find anything. I’m coming to here for some help thank you

Rims are well... kinda up to you, it's the look you want on your truck. Most wheel sites will have a search, the link below is a Ranger wheel guide that is in the tech library:

Now tires, we need a bit more information. With a lift I assume you're doing offroad? or is it more of a look/stance thing? (hey, some people do that and it's all good!) maybe post what type of terrain you'd mostly be driving on? % on road and % offroad? what overall size tire are you looking for? and of course any other info you'd care to add.

So I drive to and home from school then work. Then on the weekends I like to off-road. I would like 17 inch rims. I’m doing a lift for off-roading. I have 16’s on now but In order to lift I need 17s. I was looking at these rims.

lol I feel stupid for that. I believe I need 17’s to clear the new knuckle on the lift

Yeah that’s pretty much right. Off-roading deep mud then some highway time. Trying to do it on a budget aswell lol

Does it say why they need 17's to clear? Difference between a 16 and 17 is not that much. I don't see how this can affect the lift but maybe there is a steering component that sticks out. Have you looks at other brand lifts to see if they require a 17" wheel? It may be cheaper to buy a better lift kit that doesn't require new wheels rather than buying the lift kit +new wheels + new tires. 17" mud tires wont be cheap either. you got nice rims so I would look for a different brand or maybe you could look at getting rims with a deeper offset so your wheels stick out further. if all else fails grind, cut, weld, and repeat until satisfied lol

Yeah, the link I posted. It comes with a new knuckle, for reasons unknown. Likely because 5" is a pretty substantial lift for an IFS setup.

As for tires, my friend has some Duratrac's on his Jeep TJ, and they did really well up in the U.P. in some good mud. Maybe a bit more of a really aggressive all-terrain but that's the tire I'm putting on my Ranger once the 4x4 swap is done. I should add they really look the part of a mud tire from the side. Drives decent on the highway too, not the best in snow.

I've heard good things about the BFG KM3's if you want to go with a full mud terrain. If you're still driving on the road it I suggest stay away from anything Interco. Cooper STT's I've heard do ok, but neither mud terrain I have personally ran.

exactly lol. I wonder if I put 2-3 inch spacers on if i would be ok

I'm sure you would be ok. You wheel bearings however, will suffer greatly and will concede to very short,untimely deaths.
