Need some advice please!!!!!

My transmision shifts hard into 1st gear every time i get in it.. I've replaced the fluid and filter, and i've replaced the modulator on the side of the transmision.all the vacuum lines are new... when i first replaced the modulator it started shiftin smooth and then later that day it went back to shiftin hard again..what should i do next?? this is so agrivating...

did some band adjustin yesterday that helped out some, adjusted the rear one 1st.

Did you replace the vacuum lines going too it kinna sounds like a vacuum leak to me since you had it working for a bit then it acted up again the last thing you touched was the vacuum lines. could be a cracked hose

what rpm does it idle at?
when you put it in gear, does it engauge late and or slow?
Is there a difference in the engaugement of drive and overdrive?
is the vac. mod. ajustable?, if so un screw it 1/8 turn then test drive, repeat if ness.
do you have a 2 peice drive shaft, how is the center bearing?


what is the condition of your motor and trans mounts, U joints, ring gear end play???? all of thies could also be the problem.

what rpm does it idle at? bout a thousand rpm..

no.. engauges quickly..
do you have a 2 peice drive shaft, how is the center bearing?
no just a regular drive shaft.. no center bearing.
and the modulator is adjustable so i'll try that and see what happens..
