Need recommendations

I live in Peoria, AZ. Kinda northwest Phoenix. Driving a 98 XLT 4X 4.0. I’m wondering if there is any other members that live in this area that can recommend a place for service. General maintenance and engine. I’m getting older and can’t quite crawl around and under a car like I used to. Someplace that might actually understand an older vehicle. Just asking. I visited a “tuner shop” one day to ask about any products for my truck and nobody had ANY info or suggestions or recommendations, basically take your old truck and leave. There Is plenty of decent looking repair/maintenance shops in the area. Don’t know where to start.

This like trying to find a good doctor, its not as easy as it used to be. I see tons of shops around here too, most of them look like a backyard mechanics mess in a commercial garage. I would look at stupid things like angies list or yelp, but also ask around. maybe go to a local car guy event and inquire the elder folks. Your doctor might know a good mechanic.

I have a buddy that is great technician and owns his own shop. Unfortunately, he's at 28th St. and McDowell Rd. Not your neck of the city.

As said as it sounds... Sites like "Yelp" can be a great resource for finding decent mechanics.
