Sitting at the vets office with the dog. On the way here I noticed I had no dash lights. Then I noticed I had no turn signals. Then I got here and checked my reflection in another vehicle. No marker, tail hazard or brake lights either. Do all of those meet up somewhere? My first thought is not the fuse since ive lost dash light fuse but had the rest of the affected lights keep working before.

Hoping for a quick work around to get me home.

This is my 88 bronco 2.

Adsm, what did you find out? A central relay or terminal?

I was driving to work a 4am and got pulled over.
Cop comes up and says "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
I say "No"
He says "because your dash lights are out"
WTF I think, I did notice my dash lights went out when I turned on the lights this morning but figured I would look at during the daytime, how the heck did he know my dash lights are out and can I get a ticket for that!!!

He laughed and said " no , not really for the dash lights I pulled you over because your tail lights are out and they are on the same fuse as the dash lights"

He didn't give me a ticket just wanted to let me know, and I am sure checking to see if I was drunk, lol.

That was many years ago.

So yes dash lights and tail lights are often on the same fuse

.
ADSM .. Fuse-able Link ?

Dash and tail have been for the most part on the same fuse, (many imports do NOT do this)

BUT,

ADSM said turn and hazard, as well, (these are NOT on the same fuse) as dash and turn, in fact, turn and hazard for the most part are on different fuses as well,

SO, this would indicate 2 or 3 fuses at once (or a short that would take out both running AND turn at the same time)....

A total shot in the dark. Lost the ground to the rear end. ????????????

I don't have my Haynes handy and too cold to go out and grab my manual...but it does sound like a ground issue...the outside and inside lights are not otherwise connected that I can recall...or maybe a fuse out on the dash and the main wire clip under the hood...that wouldn't take out the back lights though...
