Need part

I need a bushing for my transfer case on my '85 Bronco II. It's a plastic bushing that goes in the forked end of the control lever and slides over the transfer case shift lever pin. The part number might be 7G035. Does anybody have one that you would sell or maybe know of somebody who reproduces it? Thanks for the help.

The disintegrated bushing has been replaced with a make-shift one and it is working for now but I'd like to have the "real" bushing on hand. So no big hurry. At least I can still four wheel it.

I take it Ford doesn't make it anymore? I need to replace the bushing on my case as well. Tired of the sloppy shift lever.

According to the shop who was rebuilding my A4LD, they said Ford told them it was no longer in production. That doesn't surprise me since it's 24 years old now. But, I didn't check with Ford myself. It wouldn't be hard to make if you had a stick of nylon and a small lathe but I don't have either one.

Easy to make

I'm not a plastics expert by any stretch but I imagine any hard, slippery plastic would work. The outside diameter is not critical. The groove would have to cut so the bushing could slide back and forth in the fork without slop and the center hole could probably be drilled to slide fit on the shifting pin. If you have a spare transfer case laying around the dimensions would be easy to get. If you could make them, I think you have an order for two right now.
