I agree. That's preposterous! Why on earth would they make that a law?? So what would happen it you had a custom bumper with an inherent bull bar???

i like the 06+ ones. Not necessarily just appearance, but im on a budget and performance costs money. I want my truck to stand out, but not be too over the top. Exhaust may be in my future but it actually sounds pretty good now. Someone I work with who is big into cars actually commented on it and asked me if it was stock

I want it to look and work good.

Underdrive pulleys are fairly inexpensive, and you can find flowmaster 44's on "google shoping" for around 75 bucks new. Nothing like a good bark from the motor to make you stand out. If it's just looks you're going for, maybe go with smoked head's and tails + third brake light, or LED's. Nice tires are always a plus, tint, ebay a custom bumper maybe? I find bad as$ wheels for your rig on Craigslist all the time. Just some thoughts

honestly, i love these rims. thats one thing im keeping just the way it is. underdrive pulleys have too many mixed reviews for a few extra ponies. If i do exhaust, im doing full 2.5" catback. lights, maybe. its harder for me to justify when i already have perfectly good lights.

Well, almost any upgrade you're going to do, is going to involve replacing something that works fine, with something that looks better. that's the whole point. ha ha.

As to the underdrive pulleys: They make a difference. Fist hand experience, I can vouch for it. Other then a chip, they are one of very few mods you can do on the cheap for the 4.0, that make a noticeable difference.

I like your wheels too, I was just throwing things out there, that would make you rig stand out.

I had wheels like that, I sold em for 100 bucks, and sold the brand new tires wrapped on em for a 100 bucks the 2nd day I owned my truck. I can't own anything stock, it's a waste of good potential.
