Need info on 4WD & gears

with the manual hubs, you can leave them locked in and then go from 2 hi to 4 hi on the fly while driving if you experience bad road conditions. put the shifter into neutral/ push the clutch in. for 4 low you have to come to a complete stop, and only use that for the most traction and power. but you wont be going very fast in 4 low. i can do about 35 in 4 low in 5th gear.
 
2 hi is for driving, 4 hi is for driving in bad, snow covered icy roads, 4 low is for stuck, and 2 low is 4 low for when you are too lazy to lock the hubs.

No need to be in N when you lock the hubs, aside from not stalling the engine if you have a stick.
