I have a 91 Ranger 4x4.I need to replace my clutch slave cylinder, I know I need to drop the tranny to do it, my question is how do I do that with that crossmember in the way that is riveted to the frame??? I know its been done before because I had the clutch replaced last year right after I got it, but the rivets are still there, so he didnt drill them out and put bolts in like I have heard some guys do. So whats the trick??

Which crossmemeber?

The trans support unbolts from the outside of the frame.

The sway bar cross piece you just pull the trans back until it clears.

The front one, the one thats riveted to the frame. So I should just be able to pull the tranny back untill it clears this crossmember? And is removing the t-case from the tranny necessary?
