Truck is a 88 ranger 2.9 5spd. Purchased it a while back and when it is warm I have to step on the accelerator to get it to start, and it smeels like it is running rich. Vehcile also has a rough idle at times and other times idles nice and smooth. I did the on-demand codes and the only code is 67 "indicates that the system is recieving a improper neutral/drive or A/C clutch status input. Unsure what this is, and would this cause my problem. Vehicle is not equipped with A/C. TIA.

KOEO tests are performed in neutral. Was it? If yes, you need to inspect the neutral switch circuit.

Yes it was in neutral, Where is the neutral switch located?
