I have a 92 ford ranger with a 2.3 and i was going to do a 2 inch washer lift on the front. I know I need a longer bolt and new bushing but what size and if I need anything else? Thanks:icon_confused:

I put the coil spring spacers 2" on my mazada 4x4 but after reading about them on this site I am regretting it they seem too crush. I would recomend making them from a pile of washers welded together info on washer size and how too on this site in the tec libray i think. depending on lift height requirements stud extenders may be required. The only other thing is camber caster bushings avaible at Napa 0-4 degree should solve all your aligment issues. Anything above a 2" lift they tell me may require more mods and money ?????

Rather than using stud extenders, what size bolt is needed to run through the beam, the 2" washer lift, and the spring on top? Thread pitch, length, and diameter?

i have the same problem, i need a longer bolt but no one seems to know where you could get one.. have you figured it out flash gordan..????

I have actual spacers and I didnt need the stud extender on the side I didnt cut

the bolts for the 2wds are 3/4" x 10" (the spacer kits offer extenders for both 3/4" and 11/16" so you should measure your first). i wasnt able to find any locally so i ordered them from www.fastenal.com and they were at my door in 3 days. the 4x4 front axles use 2 bolts to hold the radius arm and spring onto the front axle beam, so longer bolts should be readily available from the hardware if they are even needed, i cant recall exactly how long they are.

I called the local Fastenal store and ordered a pair of the 3/4" x 10" grade 8 bolts and nuts yesterday. The guy on the phone said he only had one of the bolts in stock at the time. OK who's been raiding my local Fastenal store for these bolts??? I now have to wait till Monday to get them.
