hey guys so here i go again i am having problems with the codes 67-41 as i posted before i also han 1 for the engine coolant sens i put a new map sens on then replaced the engine sens i also had to replace my heater core which i did on sun along with the sens for coolant now my engine temp started to get hot when its running in gear when i put in park it cools down i repaced the tstat. .its a new motor with aftermarket heads everything is new it just started when i replaced the heater core and coolant sens any help would be appt i just cant figure this out .oh the oxy sens is new to

How is your timing?? at 10deg BTDC? With spout plug removed!

you may just have a air bubble that is trying to get worked out. Givin that you replace the heater core as well.

How Hot is hot?? 220deg 240deg?? it maybe that you have a bad temp sensor to the instrument panel too, giving you false/ misleading feedback.

how long has it ran HOT??
Is your coolant level low?? DO you continually need to add coolant?

need help

hi imenriched yes the timing is dead on and i replaced the temp sens to .but what is happing is after i replaced the ect and heater core i started the truck up and let it warm up but i was still getting a crapy idle so i was stepping on the gas in park and in gear when the temp shot right up so i shut it down and you could hear the anti freeze boiling in the engine and it overflowed into the can so i just figured the tstate went bad so i replaced that again now when i drive the temp gauge gose up and down like its going to overheat but it dosent when i come to a stop the temp drops down to where it should be. its lik the tstate open when i am parked and closed when i drive .i just cannot think that the tstate is bad again or maybe there is air in the system .oh and the coolant level is good

You could possibly have a cracked head

You could possibly have a cracked head

Agreed^ or a rare head gasket failure.....you still could have air bubble.
When you went for a drive was the heater on full blast?

and your over flow should have some in there about 1/3rd full.

watch your coolant level very closely as well as the oil level.

If you do have a bad head & or gasket....your coolant level will be down. If your Oil level mysteriously gains or you're getting excessive white exhaust after it warmed up.....bad news:bawling:

If coolant levels stay the same....you might have to add a little, maybe 1/2 gal er so. If there is air bubble that worked out. but after that and it stays and oil stays the same, then you're probably OK

Just keep a close eye on things for abit

Also watch and make sure that not only is your oil level going up and coolant going down, watch for it to go the other way also, if your oil level goes down, and coolant goes up, you could have a cracked block. I dought that you do, but something else to watch if it ever overheated.
