i just put new 6'' lift sky jacker coils on my 88 super cab 4x4 ranger to day along with my d35 swap, i got it all together and cant turn that much at all because the 33'' tires rub way to bad, its a good 1.5'' lower, will coil spacers bring it to a real 6'' like it was with the old stiff coils, what can i do? thanks.:dunno: PS, i thought i was in the 4x4 suspension forum sorry.

Got the front end in huh? You could always do the washer trick, I'm sure you could find something at Lowes or Home depot that would do the trick, since tomorrows sunday and not alot of places will be open. Remember you won't need an 1.5 of washers to get the 1.5 out at the wheel. As for the tires rubbing, the only thing that will probably help that is less backspacing on the wheels.

ya iv seen those, i think im going to fab some up, but i dont knoe if less shwob sees them if they will align my truck, since they are home made. they wouldent tuch my brothers truck because it had a body lift. i want the daystars but $142.99 is wat to much for some poly spacers. im NOT happy at all with how much they sag,

Please don't put washers under your coil springs.

I would suggest getting a set of coil spacers. I have a brand new set if your interested, PM me.

Why not? It's safer than most coil spring spacers people use. Run a little weld along the edges of them to hold them together. As long as the nut is night, there is no problem using washers. :icon_confused:

So you'd rather use something soft that gives than a solid set of washers? :shok: What happens over time when the poly breaks down and your coil becomes loose in there? Something washers won't do. I've heard so many complaints of the poly spacers compressing, I won't run them.

Been running washers under mine. No probs.

yep thats what i did, went to the hard ware store this morning got some steel washers, i got 1 5/8 lift + out them, every thing is back to gether and flexter then hell, thanks for the info guys, and there is NO way i would have payed $142 for poly spacers, i paid $23.00 for 18 washers way better, the washers will out last the truck. poly will weather wrot after a couple years, now for the 8.8.

cool shit man, lets see some of them new flexin pics soon

Are you going to have the 8.8 done by Saturday? haha

It'd be cool if you could go.

I have had washers under my coils since October or so and haven't had any issues at all with them.
