Need help looking for a new engine!!

So I am looking for a engine for my 93 ext 2.3 ranger. I have found some but they are all w/o EGR and I am pretty sure mine has one. So do I have to replace my engine with a engine that has a egr or is there a way around this?

If you replace the engine you can, or should be able to, use the intake and exhaust parts from your engine...you don't have to swap out that part of it unless you get an engine from a different model year that has different sensors...

So look for an engine from a 93 or 94 and it should just plunk in...later versions changed the way the oil pump works and also had added sensors that your year did not have (apparently)...

But you get the idea...you could also read the recent post in this forum where the poster found a rebuilt 2.3 for $500...he even offered to let others know where he got his engine from...but you will have to message him directly...
