Ok, explication first...I have a 89 B2. I am curently swapping my old D28 for a D35. And I decide to make some long arm at the same time... For now... everything is done... Im putting the stuff back on the truck...

But I fund a problem.... on the passenger side. look at the pic:à

you are looking inside my passenger diff arm. And the bolt seems to me to be a lot in the way of where my axle is gonna go.

I did move forward the beam a little... but it wasnt supposed to be that much.. and when I look at them on the truck and pics of the old set-up.. It still doesnt seem to be that much.
So what can I do???

I cannot move the arm bracket backward because they are as close as they can be to the Tcase support.

Here's a couple of other pics of the problem..

All advise will be welcome, thx

also, an other question... I looked quicky but it seems to me thats my steering linkage is gonna be to short too.
I have just put the driver side knuckle...but my linkage is missing about an inch to reach the knuckle...and I dont have that much thread on the tie-rod end.

why can't ya put the bolt through the other way with the head where the nut is now????

l8r, John

That should be fine (That's about how mine is as well). The axle shouldn't be moving forward or backward at all, it just needs to clear up & down behind the bolt.

You need the D35 steering linkage, it is wider than the D28 linkage.

I have a superrunner steering linkage... can I fit it for the D35??...cause it was on my D28 before....

Nice paint job on the steering linkage and axles! That just might be my next project...

It will fit, yes (although just barely... I'd prefer to see a bit more thread engagement on the driverside adjuster sleeve myself, but it will work nonetheless).

thx, I still havent try to put it in...but I was figuring that it will have almost no thread in it...

But i'll give it a try.. Or i'll find an other t-rod that will fit and be longer.

There are a couple other places that may rub, might want to check yours for clearance...drove me nuts till I figured out the spring bolt was contacting the axle. :icon_confused:

Yeah, I kind of spot that too... I was thinking that this bolt wasnt that out before in my memory.. Thats weird... Im gonna check with the shaft in it to see out it clear it.
and thx for the hint.

By the way, that tru that the skyjacker lift spring really sucks for flex... :annoyed:
