It's on the drivers side front. I can't find it in my repair manual.

Thanks

mabe its some type of shock for body flex?

im as stumped as you are... and im going to school for this kinda stuff

I do not know the PROPER name but I know it is for controlling engine movement under heavy acceleration. Other than that - I would be stumped on what to tell a parts person. Maybe the engine torsion damper?

Found this at AZ - Engine Torque Damper

ive always wondered what that was its obviously a shock but im pretty sure its conected to the engine mount for when your engine sshakes its just there to help guide it up and down if you need to replace it you can probably just buy a shock they use for holding up the hoods on either side it look slike the same size just an idea

Ah, the old "Engine Torque Damper"

I'll go with that, thank you very much.

if its bad/leaking, take it off and throw it away. ill bet you wont even miss it. only if you notice weird vibrations without it would i worry about finding a replacement.
