While I was replacing my dash this fell out of the dash on the driver's side, does any one know what it is?

that's a grommet that locks a cable in place as it passes thru a panel.

possible speedo cable??? maybe throttle cable???
 
Thank you, just got home from work haven't had a chance to look at it again, was hoping for a oh I know where that goes !
 
Post another pic with something else in it for a size reference.
 
I don't have it with me but can say the outer rim is about the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger. You could probably fit a pencil through it.

Manual trans?
It looks like the clip the holds the clutch pedal rod into the master.
