need help. my automatic trans doesnt seem to be taking off in first gear. feels like major slipping but i know its not taking off in first.

trans fluid level is good and fresh oil.

i dont know much about the truck or if it had any issues before i got.

any help would be helpful. ill keep checking to see any comments

ok so i drove the b2 on a road that i can do 50 on and it did shift through all the gears.

now my next deal is why is shifting in high rpms aka late shifting.
could it be the trans modulator.

the line was attached but i found that it was suffering from dry rot. so i replaced it but have got the modulator back in yet its a tricky parts. and i have big hands and arms. lol former bodybuilder.

Yes I took it out to inspect it. And found out it was just fine. Now I'm trying to put it back in. Did I make a big mistake taking it out

No they are easy to install, just that if the hose had holes in it, the modulator won't work. So I would have just put a new hose on and maybe your problem would be cured. But they are easy to install.

im just having a huge problem getting around the exhaust. someone had changed it. and made it allmost inaccessible to get my arms up in there with out make a lilly hand. lol
