Ok so this weekend I broke a piece on the left side of my rear differential. Somehow the bolts sheared to the c lookin piece that holds everything in.

My dilema now is do i try and tap the broken bolts out.
Or do i snag the axle from the junk yard that has 3.73's in it and swap it to 4.10's?

Im currently running 33's and dont want to crack open the front diff to match gears.

Also where can i get a ring and pinion for a good price?

I'd get an Explorer 8.8 and swap that. This site sells gears.

If you're referring to the bearing cap ("c lookin piece"), then yeah, good chance that axle is toast.

Agreed, get an Explorer 8.8" for it. Many '97-'01 Ex's came with 4.10s factory if that's what will match your front diff.
