I've never heard of ABS causing the pedal to go to the floor. It causes it to pulsate and feel as if your not going to stop, but never causes you to lose pressure.

Have it checked immediatly!

yeah what i meant was what you said pulsate and acts like its not going to stop just like you said.Oh by the way its a 2003 4x4

Sounds like a faulty speed sensor, usually its one of the front ones. You need to get it on a scanner and watch the live data from the speed sensors and see which one is acting differently than the others.

Yesterday I got my truck on a scanner they said my left front hub and bearning system is bad needs replaced if i buy one and put it on is it pretty simiple. And do they come with sensor on them allready.
thanks

I would be wary of someone saying you need a bearing.

when bearings go they get fairly loud and if really bad you can feel the vibration.

Although on these newer trucks the sensor and the bearing are built together making shit that doesn't need to be replaced cost more to replace since you can't replace "just" the sensor.

The sensor separately can cost more than the bearing/hub assembly... No reason not to change it all out.

And yes, the sensor comes installed on the new unit.

sounds like what was wrong with my truck. new master cylinder fixed it for me

Thanks again everyone will try to change it this week will let know how it works out.

Bump thread also....

I just replaced my (original) front rotors and now I feel the pulsing - kind of feels like it's going to the floor but doesn't. Actually feels like the fronts stop working and all the braking power is going to the rear. It's fine for "normal" stops, but when I'm just creeping up to a stop or in the Target parking lot December 23 the pedal bounces around a lot.
So is that the master cylinder? 141,000 miles and it goes just like that?

thanks,
