I had a mechanic working on my truck earlier and he broke a couple things. I need to replace my fan clutch.. He broke a sensor and nicked my water pump pulley. What s this sensor and can I file down the nick on the water pump pulley? Here's a few pics.

I'll try the emery cloth on the pulley. Still pretty worries about the sensor.. anyone know what it is or is there a PDF online for the 4.0 motor?

hi, from looking at the pic it looks to me like it is the water temp sending unit. here is a page and web site that is linked to in another area of TRS. this will take you to the section for thermostats. the piece in question looks like it is sitting next to the thermostat pipe on the intake manifold. hope this may help or get you on the right track

Its the sensor. It still looks connected but the plastic housing is cracked.. Wires are exposed. Would it be ok to run it like this until I make a junkyard run?

Alright after a long day. I replaced the fan clutch.. 2 blocks into the drive "IT"S BACK". Still squeaking.. I have replaced almost everything. What next???? Idler pulley/tensioner pulley/clutch fan/alternator/serpentine belt. I'm running out of options..
