Need help 93 ranger 4.0

So I have a 1993 ford ranger 4.0 5 speed it started by not having enough power to go up a hill and now it cranks but won't start and key in on position fuel pump stays on

Definitely sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me.

- Check/replace fuel filter first. You can also go down to the parts store and rent a fuel pressure gauge while you are picking up a new filter. I'd try filter first though
