Alright so I bought a a 91 ranger 2.3 5 speed bought it with a blown head gasket replaced it and it ran alright for a day or so then started having running rough and then it shut off and now it won't start I have no spark to the coils are icms common problems on these trucks?

What is an 'icms'?

When you replace the cylinder head, did you make sure to use all original bolts, re-connect the ground strap to the cab, etc? If you had bolts left over... not good. If you didn't hae enough bolts to hold down the coils, not good. I understand the coils use all fasteners to ground the coils, so they all must be replaced if removed or new coil installed.
If you have no spark, check that your coils are functional. If you have the 8-plug, swap one coil for another.
