Ok so I have 1987 ford ranger 2.l 2wd and I wanna drop either a supercharger or a turbo on it if I go supercharger its free but i need to buy a coolant pump and stuff but thing is dies anyone know the procedures? and same thing with th turboonly I need the procedures on installing and what turbo would fit I need help guys please://///

Don't put boost to a 2.9 unless you want a new engine.

The 2.9 is pretty much doing all it can, as it sits. I wouldn't bother unless you want a bomb under the hood.

If you want a decently reliable engine, keep the 2.9 as is. More power = 4.0 or a V8.
