My slave cylinder has went out on my bii. I've got a 2.9 but I'm plannin a 4.0 swap in the spring. Should I change the clutch out now or wait till the swap?

might as well wait, the 4 liter uses a better clutch. no point in paying twice.

i concur....unless it is a DD i wouldnt bother with it

I believe the 4.0 clutch will work with the 2.9... but why tear it apart twice if you don't have to

It is a DD. I thought that the 4.0 clutch would work w the 2.9 but wasn't sure.

Pretty sure it will, I think you have to change the flywheel and pressure plate with the 4.0 clutch to make it all work, but you'd prolly want to do that anyway....

Yes, a 4.0 flywheel & clutch will work on a 2.9, but you'll also need
to 4.0 manual trans starter.
