Ok so 96 ranger xlt 2wd 4 banger. I'm sure its been asked a lot but I AM gonna get a lift. I'm looking for advice on the best on a budget. Not gonna do hardcore wheeling or anything lol.

Anyways been looking at rough country kits and tuff country kits. Any other brands anyone suggests that are in this price range? I know they aren't the best, but it is either this or nothing at all at this point, as I will not be able to afford or justify for that matter a 1 to 3 thousand dollar lift. Please give me some serious help here :(

Also links, part numbers, and essential or recommended parts would be great. Stuff like pitman arms, brake lines, etc...

No help at all?

Here. Check this out. I have a buddy who put this setup on his 97 2wd truck several years ago. He used 32 x12.5 tires with the kit. He kept his Ranger for another 4 years and had no issues with the suspension kit. He traded his Ranger for a 4x4 Tocoma. Hope this helps you some.

Here you go again. I was trying to find this from our own Jim Oaks. I had to go look for it again before I posted it for you. A bit more money, but goood as well.

Well the rough country I've seen, but heard it breaks diffs so kinda worried about it.

The Pro comp looks good and the price is alright considering, but is it that much better?

I know I'm getting a budget lift, but I don't want my upgrade breaking stuff just cause you know?

Anyone have an opinion on these or tuff country? Sub 600 is where I'm shooting, but a little more is ok if it's warranted. Over a grand is overkill especially for my model. Besides I'm only looking for 4+ inches of suspension lift. I'm gonna keep my 31s.

With a 2wd there is no front diff to break. :icon_thumby:

Tuff Country does not make lifts for 2wd TIB trucks. Only 4wd TTB. Really dude, listen to other people and get the Rough Country kit. It'll work fine. It includes the shocks and pitman arm. You should be fine with your brake lines. You can relocate them if needed.

Exactly why I posted. So rough country then, nothing to worry about? That's cool :) cant wait to get started, any recommended vendors?

Google it or check on Ebay. See what you can get for under $600. You gonna install it yourself? That will same you some. Don't forget the alignment when your done with the install.

Yea prob myself, does anyone recommend new longer brake lines? also I can get help :) so no biggie shop owner still owes me for getting him alldata full for his shop ;) anyways this is my truck as it stands today

...

No lift yet, working on it, but bigger tires

So any recommended vendors? I sold my old car today and got the cash finally, can anyone point me to a reputable vendor, perhaps with good discounts like military discount. I'm sure I read somewhere here some vendors offer this.

Should I get the steering stabilizer? And should I get the nitro 9000 shocks?
