Need advice on '98 Clutch

Gang,

The clutch was replaced about 4 months ago with a remanufactured one. I just started having another problem with the clutch. The truck is a 98 2wd with a 2.5L and ~230,000 miles.

When it warms up after about an hour of driving it becomes really hard to get into gear (ripped the gear shift off....turn it off to get into first, etc.). When it is doing this, clutch to the floor and in first gear it wants to creep forward slightly as well).

When it cools down the clutch operates fine.

I am not sure to look towards the master, slave or something else first? Any advise would be great!

Thx,

No there does not appear to be any leaks.

Why on earth would anyone buy a remanufactured clutch? A flywheel, sure, but a clutch?

A release problem has to be hydraulics (especially if pumping helps) or something stuck in the clutch itself such as a disintigrating disk. A pilot bearing is a possibility, but it's really stretching credibility to have that make the vehicle creep.

Note that leaks do not have to be external, though they often are.

still got that bridge for sale?

I agree with MAKG, it sounds like something in your hydraulic system is leaking, whether it be the slave/master cylinder or the line.
