Need Advice for situation at work

i have seen 2 major local employers move to Mexico. the plants lasted 1 year there before they closed. 1st was Gates rubber. they have been hiring local again. the 2nd was Maytag. just because labor is cheaper doesn't been the profit will be better. These plants were closed due to quality control issues.

I can understand your frustration but just be careful that whatever you do doesn't make you look a racist or a bigot because that won't help your cause at all.

I'd be careful no matter how PO'd you feel. I've had to train replacements, last one was of my own choising. Some companies have policys to fire you on the spot for "Just Reasons". Remember them school kids in CA who got kicked out of school last May for wearing shirts of American flags on Cinco de Mayo day? Unjust comments or behavure could get you fired - and that's not good.

Mercruiser tried that crap too bout 10 years ago, then they layed us all of 2 years ago. tThen pit us against the workers in Fond du Lac. Then they lied to us and said they were stayin, now they're closing the plant.

LOL, GT(General Tire) opened a plant in El Mexico, was to shut down a U.S. plant...then the Mexican government "took over" General Tires factory, so GT, now Continental still makes tires here.

I work at the Marion plant. Some of our jobs they say are going to the Ft. Wayne plant as well. Time will tell.

Call the Union and have the big rat shipped to the plant. Have the union do an informational picket around the plant. Call your senator, congressman, govenor, etc pitch a bitch. Be careful they might try to withold severance.
