I have 88 2.9 with a code 64 ACT/IAT / vane air temp fault or circuit grounded where is it and what do ya'll think is the best fix

Pretty sure it's the aluminum cylinder shaped piece on your upper intake, driver's side if I remember. Does your idle stick a bit high? I went through some tall hay like grass with a cone K&N under the hood and right afterwards I had high idle and the same code. I popped it off and cleaned it out with brake clean. Never had a problem with it again! Hope this helps.
