Need a 5 spd trans for my 84 2.8 2x4!!!!

Anyone selling a 5 spd trans thats good but cheap? My tk5 is slowly but surely going bad. i bought a t-5 out of a 70 something 4 cyl mustang II cause i was told it would work, and then was told it wouldnt work...sooo i need something that will bolt right up with little or no mods.

the 2.8 motor shares the same tranny bolt pattern with the 2.9, 4.0, and sb ford motors (289, 302/5.0, etc.)... iirc. the 5 speed in my '83 came from an '85 b2. i'd go look for an M5OD for the added strength. good luck with your project.

Well i just replaced all my clutch components, flywheel, and starter so if i went with a 4.0 or even a 2.9 trans....id have to replace all those new parts to adapt. But i think im just gonna get a 5.0 and sell my 2.8. Anyone know what year the 302 was straight carb/vac and no sensors, ecm, ect...?
