hello guys

I have to say that i´m starting to love the way that the sober O.E. Ford classical steel wheels looks like in 4x4 TRUCKS. I have a BRONCO II with ford 9 and dana 44 from a FS F100 so... I have the 5.5 lug pattern. Right now I have a set of crhome 11'' wide ish wheels that I personaly don't like it, besides its a pain in the ass center that wheels int he lug pattern, the bolts are not the normal kind, they have a neck, and it's so dificult to centered.

I prefer painted dark gray style. So I'm thinking of putting a set of used O.E. ford classical steel wheels, I already have 3, but they are 6'' wide as far as I can see, these wheels were made in the 70's or 80's sort of, so I think it´s too narrow for my iroks, even so I like the slim or skinny style that the tires would have.

I had read that 7'' wide wheels are still suitable for 12.5 tires, but it's easier for my to find O.E. FORD 6'' wide wheels in that lug pattern and style. Maybe you cand sudggest wich other brands with that style have same 5.5 patter and a little bit wider like 7'' or even 8''. or maybe you guys already put a 15x6'' 5.5 patter on a set of 37x12.5 tires and there is no complain of any kind. please illustrate me.

I know it's a jeep:sad: but It's a good example of the style that Im looking for and the sober but functional look of the wheels

I use a 15x8 with my 12.5's on my Explorer. I have 15x10's on my Ranger with my 13.5 IROCs. The Explorer looks a little taller as the other spreads the tire out more....
15x8's...

true the BOGGERs were 14.5's, but it gives you and idea....

sorry I cant see your images,

maybe it's that I have somthing blocked because I'm still in my job, :dunno: My principal concern it's: if it would be unsafe to run a super narrow factory wheel in a 37x12.5 tire, if looses stability in the highway or something of the kind. please let me know please.

Jeep/Dodge used them.

Not sure how wide but half ton Ford Econolines might be a source for them.

the Tire Rack has specifications for tires.
I looked up 35 inch tires. several brands of 35x12.5-15 tires all take wheel widths from 8.5" to 11". it appears 6" or 7" would be too narrow for your 37x12.5-15 tires.

I like running 12.50s on 8 in wheels. It aloud me to run 3-5 pounds of air without pushing beads with non bead locked wheels.
