Name that sensor! :UPDATE:

Alright, i fineally got around to pulling the 4.0 and tranny from my donor vehicle. then i noticed it was missing 2 sensors on the motor and theres a plugin on the tranny(5spd tranny 93 4.0 4x4 truck) that im not quite sure what plugs into it as i did not unplug anything when i pulled it. here's some pics!

This one is the drivers side of the intake, im not quite sure what sensor goes in there....

This pic is of the oil pan, i'm assuming its for the low oil dummy light but im not sure, its right behind the starter and once again, there was nothing there to unplug...

This third and final picture is located on the driverside of the tranny, maybe for the reverse lights? im not sure

What about the one behind the starter black Bii?

oil level sensor.

Sets off the "Check Oil" light.

I thought thats what it was, hrmm, only thing is, even if i got the new sensor, the plug in has disappeared, i have the end of the wire, but no plug in on that wire. Got another one for you guys, how the hell do you disconnect the lines for the slave cylinder? on the older style u coud just remove a brass fitting on the line, this one, i dont see that type of fitting and im assuming i'll need some special tool to disconnect the line but i'm unsure.
Any ideas?

Most you use a round disconnect tool. It slides onto the fitting and pushed the collar back while pushing in and then pulling out on the line.

They are a PITA... Assuming it is the same as my M5OD.

The oil low light wire should be W/PK.

It's connector is C194 (single wire), but you could probably use a simple spade terminal to make it work.

If you want to test it, touch that wire to ground and the Check Oil light should illuminate. Note that this circuit has a timing relay, so it will need to grounded for "some time" before the light will come on, likely to accomodate sloshing.

Get the clutch pilot tool (Dorman #14503 for $4) and the slave disconnect tool (NAPA # 3413 for $8).

Well, i got a new clutch and slave cylinder. Funny thing is, the new slave doesnt even come with the tool to disconnect it, that tool comes with the new clutch. You would figure if you didnt need a clutch just the slave it would come with that tool. Another question, motor mounts, will the ones in my truck now work? or would i need to drill a new hole in the brackets on the engine? OR would i need to get 4.0 motor mounts?

Your motor mounts should work fine.

The clutch disconnect tool isn't required, as it can be done with two small flatheads, just push the ring in to release the metal fingers, then pull the line out.

Cool, thanks for the info fellas. I'm tryin to gather the tools i need to complete the swap, right now i just need an engine hoist and a tranny jack. Gonna be kinda hard to find a tranny jack that will reach up under my truck to grab it and i'm not quite sure if i wanna wrestle the tranny up in there with my bare hands.

Ran into another problem, there is no plastic collar on there to press on, just a metal sleeve, i took some pics to show you guys, ALSO found out why you couldnt use the clutch, see pics below lol.

Any ideas on what to do since there is no plastic piece on there?

Yeah....that clutch is a little worn out..:icon_twisted:

I would go to the local pick-n-pull and find a plastic collar...I dunno where else you'd find one..maybe off your neighbors RBV...
