If you didn't build it; it's not really yours
Anyone know where this is supposed to go? I can't find it on the schematic. Yellow or orange w/black stripe going towards the alternator.

Yellow/white was used for many years on charging systems but not yellow/black

Are you still running an alternator with separate voltage regulator?
Or has it been up dated to 2G or 3G with internal regulator?

And does Cluster used an AMP Meter(C and D) or Volt meter?
And does it work?

Yes to the separate voltage regulator. Vehicle is charging like it should. The cluster does have an AMP meter and it seems to be working (slight charge).

Then not part of charging system

Don't have a 1985 2.3l wiring diagram but didn't see yellow/black on 1986 2.9l engine harness
Saw a yellow/green for power steering sensor on 2.3l models

Me neither. That's the mystery. It runs Ok and charges Ok but has a weird open loop closed loop issue still...
