Also, tool was a cement bond tool. It's essentially a downhole sonar that uses piezoelectric transducers to detect whether or not there is cement (or "stuff") bonded to the back side of casing within a well.
 
Since when is the occasional need to break up a big poo so it'll flush not normal? That's been a thing since toilets were invented.

Hua. So, sounds like they repurposed the attenuation equations that run reservoir sondes or seismic survey equipment. Cool.
 
I've seen the corkscrew looking things used at county fairs. Stick a hot dog into them and on a cutting board run a knife blade in the grooves as you run it across the board. Gives the dog a cut along its length.
Don't know what the comb looking thingies are.
