Well all,
I have a 2006 Ranger sport 4x4 4.0 regular cab.
I changed the following in attempting to find this "chunk" and "clunk" noise I get goin over bumps.
I changed both CV shafts, all ball joints and added shock extensions. As well as changed both wheel bearings and brake pads.
But I still get this "clunkin" noise when I go over bumps...
I'm at a loss and fiance is tired of me pouring money into it.
I've narrowed it down substantially, Its gotta be a tie rod end, shock or the upper ball joint on the passenger side. The noise sounds from that side of cab, so I'm leaning towards the upper arm or shock.
Any other input would be wonderful, I'm tired of guessing, though the darn thing handles wonderfully now.
