my window is stuck down and won't go up!!!! plz help

i have a 1993 ford ranger with power windows. the window rolled down and won't go back up. when i press the button it sounds like it stuck, and i took off the door panel to try and pull it up when pressing the button and it dont go anywhere. whats wrong? and how do i get the windon up?
